My name is Silver Streamer, but my friends call me Silver—or Silvie, if you know me well enough. I’m a 15.3hh dappled grey Thoroughbred, daughter of Rebel King and Silver Jet, and granddaughter of the legendary Jet Master. Once bred for the track, I’ve since found my passion soaring over jumps and galloping across cross-country courses.
These days, I compete in 1.40m showjumping and 3* eventing, where my firecracker personality truly shines. I may seem bold and brave, but those closest to me know my soft side. With my kahu by my side—my guardian, partner, and best friend (Paige de Rooy), I’m not just an athlete, I’m a companion. She understands that routine is my safe space. She makes sure every day flows with calm predictability, which helps me feel secure and loved.
My physical well-being is just as important as my performance. Monthly sessions with my physiotherapist keep me in top condition, and the wide-open paddocks in Noordhoek are my sanctuary. I’m lucky to roam acres of grass with my herd and sleep in a walk-in-and-out stable that gives me the freedom I need to truly relax.
